COMMUNITY IS GREAT!

As human beings, we were never intended to live in isolation. Living in community, (in other words in relationship with like-minded people) adds a whole new dimension to life. Of course, we all enjoy privacy at times, some more than others, but it's a lonely life when you have no community to relate to.
For some unknown reason, our modern society tends to promote the idea that we should be independent and self-sufficient. This is actually poor reasoning, for who has all the good ideas, knows everything about everything, and can envisage every different aspect of a project? The answer is no one!
However, if we relate to a like-minded group of people in community, then we can benefit from everyone else's creative ideas and knowledgebase, we can learn and grow and help each other to improve in skills and understanding.
Whether you are a solo parent, a single adult, parents with children, people who love photography, golf, fishing or football, cooking or camping, find a community of people who enjoy the same things, and your enjoyment of life will increase dramatically. You'll form wonderful friendships that may even last a lifetime. You'll learn skills you never thought you would have. Community is the most natural thing in the world when you're in it, and an empty part of your life when you're not.
FOR CHRISTIANS
This is why the local church is of such importance. It is wonderful to belong to a community of people who share your beliefs and prioritize the Bible as our manual for living. These people will become great friends - brothers and sisters in Christ - as we all belong to God's family.
In this community you will find those who are able and willing to teach you more about the Bible, to encourage, comfort and support you when you need it, to pray for you and help you in practical ways.
COMMUNITY IS FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN
Community is particularly important for our children in this digital age. Many children are spending so much time on the internet, or on their mobile phones, that they don't learn relationship skills they will need for their adult lives.
There are many thriving communities online, full of excitement, anticipation, knowledge, creative ideas and the willingness to share them. Beyond that, there are interactive groups and forums who will become their own little community, who will go on to succeed in many adventurous projects, largely as a result of being a part of the community.
